We visited the WILD WEST today for a District Sixer Council Meeting.
After a quick opening, cubs were handed a piece of paper with one line of a nursery rhyme. They had to run around and find the rest of their nursery rhyme and this made up the Six for the morning.
We were very lucky to have a lady come and join us to talk to the cubs on Bullying.
They learnt a lot and have taken away some handy hints
It was then time for some fun!
Pillow fighting up first!
..... with Akela joining in!
Next we had a Rover showing the cubs what slack-lining is all about
Some horse-shoe tossing
..... being easier said than done!
and then it was juice and eats time!
Cow patties and moopee
The Sixer Council base is where they learnt their responsibilities and duties as a Sixer
and the rifle base was a great hit!
To close off we had a Scout come in and talk to the cubs about "going up" to Scouts... and to find out what they were afraid of (if anything) and to answer any questions they had.
This was a great session and the cubs loved the TS from 6th Benoni!
A truly great District Scouter's Council
Thanks to everyone involved.
Till next Time
Keep Cubbing
