What a fantastic day!
We held our Annual District Cycle Rally at Arrowe Park on the banks of Homestead Dam.
10 packs took part and this is where our fabulous scorers sat.
The winner walked away with the conventional trophy but each pack was given a "cup" in which where badges and a dong (wooden wheel on a thong) for each participant.
Our ADC welcomes everyone before the start of the race. 
The 7 year olds get ready for Race number 1.

Go, 9th Benoni, go!
Each pack was designated a colour and number per cub. The colours corresponded with their scarves and this is how the scorers scored each lap by counting the number of times that colour went around the track.

The races were divided by age group.
7 year olds
8 year olds
9 year olds..
and 10 year olds.
We then had a up to 9 year old Visitor Race..... and I think this is the way to do it ! ....
The Dad's race followed .... and we had 2 Rover entrants!
... who did exceptionally well and were in with the winning lot ....
After tallying up all the scores for the day, there was a tie for 1st position between 1st Benoni, 9th Benoni and 1st Boksburg. We had to have a final race to see who would take 1st, 2nd and 3rd position.And here they are lined up ready to go.
Congratulations to 1st Boksburg who came 1st.
1st Benoni who came 2nd.
9th Benoni who came 3rd.
Well done to all our cubs - we are so proud of you!
The CD with photos will be handed to your Akela next week Friday.
